Terms of Service
Early access · October 14, 2026. Independent-shop checkout is not open yet. Final seller terms will be confirmed before real marketplace orders begin.
Who operates OrthoMerch
OrthoMerch is operated by Joel Dunn under the OrthoMerch business name. Business correspondence: PO Box 640, Levelland, TX 79336. Contact: hello@orthomerch.com.
Our community and shops
OrthoMerch serves the canonical Eastern Orthodox community. Churches, monasteries, individual makers, and businesses may apply for their own shop within OrthoMerch. We review applications, ecclesiastical affiliation, and references. Approval is permission to sell on this marketplace; it is not an ecclesiastical endorsement of every item.
Account holders must be at least 18, provide accurate information, protect their sign-in credentials, and have authority to act for their shop. We may decline, suspend, or remove shops or listings that misrepresent their affiliation, infringe rights, violate law, or undermine marketplace trust.
Orders, shipping, and returns
Independent shops describe, price, fulfill, and support their products. Review the shop’s shipping and return policies before ordering. A cart with multiple shops creates a separate order for each shop. Shipping charges and delivery times can differ. Contact the shop first about an order, or contact OrthoMerch if you need help resolving a problem. A shop policy does not limit rights required by applicable law.
Stripe processes marketplace card payments and seller payouts. Prices are in US dollars. Applicable taxes and final charges must be disclosed at checkout. Sandbox orders are tests and do not purchase goods. US-based sellers and US shipping are the initial marketplace scope.
Independent seller agreement
For the initial launch, OrthoMerch’s commission is 5% of item sales, excluding separately stated shipping and sales tax. The seller receives 95% of item sales plus the seller’s shipping charge, subject to refunds, disputes, lawful adjustments, and Stripe payout availability. OrthoMerch pays the platform’s Stripe processing fees. No listing or subscription fee is part of this initial arrangement. Changes to fees require advance notice and apply prospectively.
Sellers must own or have permission to use their product images and designs, accurately state provenance and production methods, honor published fulfillment commitments, provide tracking when available, and promptly address missing, damaged, or materially misdescribed items. Sellers authorize OrthoMerch to display their submitted shop and product content to operate and promote their shop. Sellers retain ownership of their content.
A full order refund returns the item and shipping amount to the buyer and reverses the corresponding seller share; OrthoMerch returns its commission. A refund does not guarantee Stripe will return processing fees. Disputes, external refunds, restricted Stripe accounts, or suspected errors may require a payout hold and reconciliation. OrthoMerch will review affected orders rather than automatically assigning a disputed payment to an unrelated seller.
OrthoMerch will collect and remit marketplace sales tax where legally required once the relevant registrations and collection configuration are in place. Sellers must provide accurate product tax information and remain responsible for their own income taxes, filings, and other obligations. Independent-shop tax collection is not active during early access.
OrthoMerch merchandise and parish programs
The existing OrthoMerch merchandise catalog continues through its current checkout and fulfillment provider, whose checkout terms apply. The St. Catherine managed parish program remains separate from independent marketplace shop commissions: its agreed 75% church / 25% OrthoMerch profit split remains in place. Its program agreement governs that arrangement.
Availability and changes
We work to maintain accurate listings and reliable service, but availability and delivery estimates can change. Contact us about errors so we can review them. Material changes to these terms will be dated and communicated before taking effect. Nothing here excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
